Finished in stunning Kiln Red Metallic over a Berber cloth trimmed interior, this icon of 80’s motoring was the successor to Porsche’s opening act, the 901, further cementing the 911 line in the history books.

This ‘SC’, or ‘Super Carrera’ model was marketed as the luxury offering of the 911 line, being equipped standard with Air Conditioning and Power Windows.
- Powered by a 3.0 Liter Air Cooled Flat 6 engine producing 135KW
- Power going to the rear wheels through a 5 Speed Manual Transaxle
- This 911 displays 128,404km on the odometer

This example has benefited from extremely long single ownership and was tastefully specced with black ‘Fuchs’ wheels. It’s been subsequently appointed with a period-correct Continental stereo, which allows Bluetooth compatibility.
- Porsche planned to discontinue the 911 in the early 80s, but due to the overwhelming success of this G-Series generation, they decided to make it the star of their lineup.
- While often overshadowed by its flamboyant turbo brother, the SC shared the same cast-aluminium engine, just without the aid of turbochargers. The linear power that this provided made it a favourite amongst driving enthusiasts thanks to its predictable and nimble handling characteristics.
- This was further apparent by the standard fitted disc brakes on both axles, as well as front and rear sway bars to complement its MacPherson strut suspension setup.

Since being delivered brand new at Hamilton’s Porsche South Yarra, this 911 has received consistent maintenance by either the dealer or a specialist throughout its life. This history has been meticulously documented in its original logbook.
