Description

The Citroen DS, also known as "Goddess" or "Déesse" in French, is one of the most iconic cars in automotive history. The DS-23 Pallas E was a high-end luxury version of the Citroen DS that was produced between 1972 and 1975.

The DS was originally introduced in 1955 and was immediately recognized for its futuristic design, advanced technology, and innovative features. The DS was one of the first mass-produced cars to feature front-wheel drive, disc brakes, and hydropneumatic suspension, giving the car its famous smooth and comfortable ride.

The DS-23 Pallas E was named after the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom and crafts. The "Pallas" in the name referred to the luxurious trim level that included a leather interior, wood dashboard, and other high-end features.

One of the most distinctive features of the DS is its suspension system, which used hydraulic pressure to control the height of the car and provide a smooth ride. The DS-23 Pallas E also featured Citroen's unique "diravi" power steering system, which provided a light and responsive steering feel.

The car we have here Is a 1974 Citroen DS23 Pallas E, finished in White (Blanc Meije), with an incredible cognac leather interior. Australian complied and delivered new by A.O. Dutton & Sons in Richmond. This most desirable 141 bhp model with 5-speed manual transmission is one of the best examples in the country.
