This beautiful 911E is one for the collector.
An original Tourist Delivery order built to C23 Australian specification, the car was collected at the factory in Stuttgart and driven through Europe before being shipped back to Australia in 1974. After remaining with the first owner for many years, when the second owner purchased the car they decided to undertake a comprehensive restoration with a marque specialist. This was undertaken around six years ago, with amazing attention to detail evident, and the car remains in absolutely outstanding restored condition throughout.
Resplendent in its original Tangerine (code 2323) with brown leatherette and houndstooth inlays, the car is optioned with a rear towing hook, long range driving lights, 3 point seat belts and Blaupunkt “Frankfurt” radio.
Also included are the original service books and all the service receipts, documents and letters sent between the first owner and the Porsche distributors during his ownership. We have never seen as much documentation as this car comes with. Even the original Tourist Delivery document is still with the car.
Nowadays 1972 models are quite sought after, with their one year only external oil filler door concealing an oil tank located within the wheelbase. This car is no exception, certainly one of the best examples of a 911E we have seen for many years, and would be a standout in any Porsche collection.
