Description

Dutton Garage is very proud to present this stunning 1929 Ford Model A, freshly restored and  ready to be enjoyed.

The Ford Model A was the second huge sales success for the Ford Motor Company after its predecessor, the Model T.

The Model A was the first Ford to use a standard set of driver controls with conventional clutch and brake pedals, throttle, and gearshift. Previous Fords used controls that had become uncommon to drivers of other makes, and Henry Ford changed to follow the trend.

This Particular example is fitted with the original 3.3 litre inline 4-cylinder engine that provided 40 hp (30 kW) and top speed was around 65 mph (105 km/h). It is mated to a conventional unsynchronized three speed sliding gear manual gearbox, with a single speed reverse driving the rear wheels. This Model A also has the original four-wheel mechanical drum brakes, and stops well.

The wooden farm drop side back on this Pick-up is not original, however it is beautifully constructed and finished with marine grade stainless steel fittings and hardware, is of period design and complements the truck's overall look.

This Pick-up was fully and fastidiously restored by its previous owner and was used in shows and parades, runs very well and is a usable vintage vehicle in immaculate condition.
