Description

The Testarossa, with its striking wedge shape and powerful flat-12 engine, epitomized the essence of a Ferrari during its era. Produced for an impressive 12-year span from 1984 to 1996, it gained significant popularity through its appearances in TV shows like Miami Vice and Sega video games. Designed by Pininfarina, this iconic sports car from Maranello became one of the most influential and successful models ever built.

Today, the Ferrari Testarossa has evolved into a highly sought-after collectible. While purist collectors favor the early 'Monospecchio' models for their untouched, original design, more ambitious drivers lean towards the 512 TR, which made its debut in 1991. However, the fastest, rarest, and most coveted version of the flat-12 legacy is the F512 M.

The F512 M marked the ultimate iteration of the Testarossa, boasting a 4.9-litre flat-12 engine positioned longitudinally in the middle of the car. With a maximum power output of 328 kW at 6,750 rpm, this engine delivered exceptional performance. Only 501 vehicles were produced, including a limited run of 75 right-hand drive models.

We are thrilled to introduce the market to a remarkable 1995 Ferrari 512 M, one of the 41 original cars delivered in the UK. This particular vehicle has a mere 17,047 km on the odometer and has been in the possession of esteemed Ferrari collectors since it was brought to Melbourne by Marinello Motorsport in 2004. It is presented in immaculate condition.

As you walk around the car, you'll notice the Rosso Corsa paintwork, which exhibits a deep and rich luster. The front end features a 456-style Ferrari-family grille, evoking a wide smile highlighted by the reshaped bumper and airdam. The unique 18-inch split-rim Speedline wheels, adorned with 35 alloy bolt heads and elegantly sculpted spokes, not only enhance the aesthetics but also aid in brake cooling.

Inside the cabin, the rarely chosen carbon bucket seats, adorned with black leather and Alcantara inserts, show minimal signs of wear. The open chrome gate shifter, topped with an aluminum ball, stands proudly in the center console. The adjustable pedals, crafted from lightweight alloy, provide a touch of precision. The reshaped black leather steering wheel is visually appealing and offers an excellent grip, with strategically positioned thumb detents just above the quarter-to-three position.

The moment you turn the key and awaken the 12 pistons, the deep and commanding exhaust note, accompanied by the smooth and refined power delivery, awaits. The throttle pedal responds with precision and obedience, and the engine's powerband offers impressive breadth and eagerness. Together, they create an unforgettable driving experience, solidifying this engine as one of the finest ever produced for a road car.

Rarely seen in Australia, this exceptionally original example comes with complete tools, manuals, and an up-to-date service history. It presents a unique opportunity to own one of the greatest and most exclusive Ferraris ever to emerge from the Maranello Factory.
