Description

Dutton Garage is very proud to present this stunning early production 1990 Ferrari F40, the ultimate Ferrari, in eye catching Rosso Corsa Red.

With only 1315 ever made this is the perfect car to add to your collection of appreciating investments.

Sourced from a private collection, then brought to New Zealand, this car has never been offered for retail sale previously.

This example was a special order from Ferrari that consisted of Lexan sliding windows, non-catalytic converter, and non-adjustable suspension.

Enzo Ferrari, nearing the end of his days, commissioned his engineers to build a car with no compromises, a car with more power, less weight, and paint so thin a light breeze would rid the carbon fibre kevlar shell of its shine. Enzo’s last personal touch to a factory built Ferrari. The F40 was born.

A 2936cc (2.9L) enlarged version of the 288 GTO’s Twin Turbo V8 engine that produced a vicious 471 hp gave the F40 the most visceral driving experience know to man.

A double wishbone suspension set up, similar to that of the 288 GTO, with the non-adjust suspension, stuck the 1235kg car to the road like glue.

Beautifully sculpted carbon fibre kevlar panels with massive intake scoops, and a big wing gave the car the appearance it so desperately needed.

Bright Red buckets wrap round you and hold you by the seat of your pants to assure you are able to pilot the vehicle in a way to please.

These are all the things you get from the Legendary Ferrari F40.
