Description

It is not very often you find a 901 era 911 with the perfect balance of factory originality, and just the right amount of "hot rod" thrown in for good measure.
This is just such a car.
Purchased new by Pat Burke in July 1972 for his significant collection, the car was ordered with the following factory options:
058 Chrome bumper over riders with black pads.
220 Locking differential.
409 Recaro bucket seats
258 Headrests
402 Koni shock absorbers
420 Roll bar
425 Rear wiper
426 Trim strip wheel cutout
482 Engine bay light
651 Electric windows

Burke went to the factory to oversee his car being built, and decided to specify further modifications after seeing the formidable Carrera RS's starting to make their mark on the road to legendary status.

Resplendent in Viper green with black leatherette and Houndstooth inserts, once the car arrived in Australia the state distributor and selling dealer, Scuderia Veloce, converted the engine to 2.7 specification, with new pistons and cylinders fitted.
At the same time the body also received a genuine pair of RS rear flares and a pair of 8 inch Fuchs to fill them, creating a stunning looking sports tourer in the same mould as the ST/RS cars of the period. The car was delivered new in this configuration, and used sparingly since.

Over the years the car has remained largely untouched, and today presents as an extremely sought after rarity in its current original specification.
