2004 Lamborghini Gallardo (LHD) (Car in UK)
Designed by Luc Donckerwolke, who won the 2003 Red dot design award for the design of both the 2004 Gallardo and 2002 Murciélago. The Gallardo is landmark Lamborghini, the first genuinely all-new car to be made by San’Agata under Audi ownership. It also marked a return for the firm to making a more affordable, usable super sports car than its legendary dynasty of V12s – something it had not done since the Jalpa went out of production. With a production run of over 10 years really gives gravity to the longevity of these stunning cars. Named after a famous breed of fighting bull. The Spanish (language) word gallardo (/ɡaˈʎaɾðo/) translates into “gallant,” and from Italian into “striking”in 1988.
