A strong contender for the ‘most handsome car of the 1960s’ title, Maserati’s Ghibli debuted in coupé form at the Turin Motor Show in November 1966. Styled at Carrozzeria Ghia by Giorgetto Giugiaro and named after a Sahara Desert wind, the Ghibli rivalled the Ferrari Daytona for straight-line performance – its top speed was close to 275km/h (170mph) – while beating it for price and, arguably, looks.

DD Classics is pleased to offer this beautiful, low mileage example finished in a wonderful combination of Graphite Grey with Tobacco hide, it is a truly beautiful colour combination that must be seen to be appreciated.

It is clear that the previous owner carefully maintained this Ghibli Coupé with no expense spared. In recent years the car has benefitted from a full bare-metal respray and has spent time at renowned Maserati specialists “McGrath Maserati” with nearly £12,000 being spent bringing the car up to the superb condition it is presented in today. The car also boasts air conditioning.

The car is offered with an incredible history file of invoices and photographs relating to its refurbishment and subsequent maintenance from many notable specialists. Also included within the file are numerous previous MOTs.
