Jaguar would make a habit of shocking the automotive world. Sometimes the impact of its cars reached beyond the showrooms and exposition halls to popular rock culture, yet not even Jaguar’s founder, Sir William Lyons, could have predicted the impact of the Jaguar E-Type.

Often called the most beautiful production car of all time, the E-Type remains an automotive icon of design, engineering and speed. With spare parts readily available, a number of marque clubs to join and many driving and concours events to attend, the E-Type is an excellent, widely admired collector car.

DD Classics is pleased to offer this spectacular, matching numbers example, which has had just 2 owners from new, its last owner has maintained the car fastidiously from 1980. Our car has been the recent recipient of a total nut and bolt restoration to concours standards which was only completed last year. In that time the car has travelled a mere 2,000 miles.

Finished in its beautiful original colour scheme of Old English White with Black Hide and a lovely Black Mohair roof all of which are like new. This UK delivered, right hand drive, triple carburettor 4.2 litre Roadster example was delivered new from Rath & Mills in Hereford and has only received minor modifications since leaving the Browns Lane factory, specifically the lovely Mohair roof and a full stainless steel exhaust. It is still complete with an original Radiomobile radio.

Accompanying the car is a fabulous history file which contains a number of invoices detailing works completed during its restoration as well as previous MOT certificates dating back until 1976.

This beautiful Series 1 E-Type will not disappoint upon final inspection.
